TEMPE, Ariz. - US Airways anunció hoy que ha llegado a un acuerdo tentativo sobre un convenio colectivo con la Asociación de Auxiliares de Vuelo (AFA), que representa a los 6,800 asistentes de vuelo de la línea principal de la aerolínea. La AFA facilitará los detalles del acuerdo.
“Estamos muy contentos de haber llegado a un acuerdo tentativo con AFA y agradecemos al liderazgo del sindicato y al comité de negociación por su dedicación en apoyo de nuestros asistentes de vuelo”, dijo Doug Parker, presidente y director ejecutivo de US Airways. "También nos gustaría expresar nuestro agradecimiento a la Junta Nacional de Mediación, la miembro de la junta Linda Puchala, el mediador Jim MacKenzie y Veda Shook, presidente internacional, Asociación de asistentes de vuelo - CWA, AFL-CIO por su ayuda para llegar a este acuerdo".
El acuerdo tentativo cubriría a los 6,800 asistentes de vuelo de la línea principal de la aerolínea, que tienen su base en las tres ciudades centrales de US Airways: Phoenix, Filadelfia y Charlotte, Carolina del Norte, y en su ciudad principal de Washington, DC.
