Bahrain Exhibition & Convention Authority (BECA), designated as Bahrain’s lead organization for Aluminium China 2009, facilitated business and networking opportunities for Bahrain’s downstream aluminium industries at Aluminium China 2009, Asia’s number one aluminium trade fair held in Shanghai, the heart of industrial Asia.

Aluminium Bahrain BSC (Alba) and Gulf Aluminium Rolling Mill Company (Garmco) represented the Kingdom of Bahrain’s aluminium sector at this event. The Aluminium China 2009 attracted 8,786 qualified trade visitors from 61 countries with over 300 exhibitors from 30 countries.

The participation in this important event is in line with the vision of His Highness The Prime Minsiter and the instruction of the Minister of Industry & Commerce and chairman of the board of directors of BECA, as a part of government initiative to raise Bahrain’s profile in international markets through participation in specialized international trade exhibitions such as Aluminium China 2009. Bahrain’s presence in the Aluminium Exhibitions, organized by Reed Exhibitions for the fifth year, is testament to the success achieved by Bahraini companies from their participation in the 2000, 2002, and 2004 Aluminium shows held in Germany.

Aluminium China is part of the global-renowned Aluminium brand of world-leading events headed by Aluminium Essen in Germany and organized by Reed Exhibitions.
